Updated Dinner Menu at the Daisy!
We
have created an Appetizer section on our menu, with 4 new appetizers
(as well as soups and salads). We've also introduced 5 new Entrees, and
updated another, and brought back an old favorite. Here are some select
new Dinner menu items. (See all the new specials on the Dinner tab to
the left.)
- 5-Onion Artichoke Bruschetta
-- Onions, shallots, leeks, garlic and green onions with marinated
artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes and red bell peppers in a tangy,
cream sauce, served on grilled baguette. (Appetizer)
- Tilapia con Cilantro -- Grilled tilapia with a cilantro vinaigrette sauce, served with pickled cucumber salad. (Appetizer)
- Pork Chop with Cherry-Apricot Sauce -- Grilled, bone-in pork chop with cherry-apricot sauce. Served with mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables. (Entree)
- Steak with Daisy BBQ Sauce -- Grilled steak with our own hose-made BBQ sauce. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables. (Entree)
- Lemon Shrimp Pasta
-- Shrimp in a lemon-sherry beurre blanc sauce with spinach, red bell
peppers and purple onions, served over fresh fettuccine from RP's Pasta.

May brings the "Classic Candy Bar Collection" to the Daisy:
- Peppermint Patty
-- Chocolate cake with Peppermint Cream filling and a house-made Peppermint Patty (Peppermint Cream dipped in Chocolate ganache) on top.
- PayDay -- Caramel cake with gooey Caramel filling, topped with Peanut Butter buttercream frosting and roasted Peanuts drizzled in house-made Caramel.
- Mars Bar -- Chocolate Brownie cake with a Chocolate Malt Nougat/Caramel/Sliced Almond filling, topped with Milk Chocolate ganache frosting, sliced Almond and a Caramel drizzle.
- Idaho Spud-- Chocolate cake with Cocoa-Marshmallow filling, topped with Chocolate ganache frosting and fresh shredded Coconut.
- Strawberry Charleston Chew -- Chocolate Brownie cake filled with Strawberry Nougat, topped with Chocolate ganache frosting and fresh Strawberry dipped in Chocolate ganache.
- Clark Bar -- Chocolate Brownie cake with Peanut Butter Crunch filling, topped with Milk Chocolate ganache frosting and a house-made Peanut Butter Crunch candy.

We're
honored. It's the second year running as "Madison's Favorite
Waitstaff"! And we're entirely pleased and flattered to be runner-up as
"Madison's Favorite Sweet" when first place went to our neighbor Gail Ambrosius's
fine chocolates.

The Daisy Cafe & Cupcakery "Four C's"
We built the Daisy with four goals clearly in mind.
Cafe Breakfast
and Lunch served from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM every day, featuring inventive
comfort food always made from scratch, including great Vegetarian and
Gluten-Free selections.
Try one of four signature breakfast egg Stratas or one of six specialty
Meat Loaves. Dinner served Tuesdays through Saturdays, 5:00 to 9:00 PM,
featuring rotating Dinner Specials as well as Meatloaf, Burgers, Soups
and Salads. We also serve beer and wine, and some classic cocktails.
Cupcakery Cupcakes baked from scratch in-house daily. Quality
ingredients, natural flavors--no artificial flavors or artificial
colorings or preservatives. Delicious premium cupcakes with new flavors
all the time. Vegan and Gluten-Free selections daily!
Coffeehouse
Serving locally-owned, fair-trade, organic Johnson Brothers Coffee
products and Madison's award-winning, fair-trade, organic Cha Cha Teas.
Community Enjoy Porchlight Products on the menu and available for retail purchase. The Daisy is largest customer of Porchlight Products in Madison. Have a latte and a cupcake in the community lounge. Post local events and announcements on the community bulletin board. Free Wi-Fi!
